MyRentIsDue.com is a payment processing platform that facilitates rent payments between tenants and landlords/property managers. We use Stripe as our payment processor to ensure secure transactions.

3. Payment Terms

  • Processing: All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc., a third-party payment processor.
  • Fees: Standard payment processing fees apply as determined by Stripe.
  • Authorization: By subscribing or making a payment, you authorize MyRentIsDue to charge you according to the terms until you cancel.
  • Failed Payments: If a payment fails, you are responsible for any resulting fees or penalties from your landlord.

4. Rental Agreement Independence

IMPORTANT: All terms and conditions of your existing rental agreement, lease contract, or tenancy agreement remain in full force and effect. MyRentIsDue.com does not modify, alter, or supersede any terms of your rental agreement.

  • No Modification: Using our payment platform does not change your rent amount, due dates, late fees, or any other terms established in your lease.
  • Legal Obligations: All rental terms continue to be governed by your original rental agreement and applicable law.
  • Landlord-Tenant Relationship: We do not create or alter the landlord-tenant relationship between you and your property owner/manager.
  • Payment Responsibility: You remain responsible for ensuring rent is paid according to your lease terms, regardless of our service availability.

5. User Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate payment information
  • Ensure sufficient funds for rent payments
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized transactions
  • Comply with your lease agreement terms
  • Verify that your landlord accepts payments through our platform
  • Contact your landlord directly for any rental-related issues or disputes

6. Refunds and Cancellations

  • Refunds: Refunds are subject to your landlord's policies. MyRentIsDue does not control refund decisions.
  • Cancellations: You may cancel recurring payments at any time through the customer portal.
  • Disputes: Payment disputes should be resolved directly with your landlord or property manager.

7. Privacy and Data

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

8. Limitation of Liability

MyRentIsDue.com acts solely as a payment facilitator. We are not responsible for:

  • Landlord-tenant disputes or rental agreement enforcement
  • Property management issues or property conditions
  • Late fees, penalties, or eviction proceedings imposed by landlords
  • Verification of rental agreement validity or terms
  • Ensuring landlord acceptance of payments made through our platform
  • Service outages that may prevent timely payment processing
  • Any damages arising from your tenancy or rental agreement

Disclaimer: Payment through our platform does not guarantee compliance with your rental agreement or prevent landlord actions such as late fees or eviction proceedings.

9. Third-Party Services

Our Service uses Stripe for payment processing. By using our Service, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.

10. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the appropriate courts.
